• MVD will need access to the device(s)  located inside the home or building where the water service line enters the building (typically in the basement or utility closet).

• Please make sure there is a clear path to the device(s), as well as approximately 3 feet of clearance.

• There will be a brief interruption of water service when the meter is exchanged.

• Someone 18 years of age or older must be at the location during the appointment.

• We kindly ask that pets & children be kept away from the work area during the appointment.

• No cost for Meter Exchanges 
  (Note: Some appointment types are subject to a service charge per the MVD Schedule of Rates (example: appointment to turn water off/on).
