BACKFLOW DEVICE TESTING APPOINTMENT
IMPORTANT INFO FOR BACKFLOW DEVICE TESTING APPOINTMENTS
- MVD will need access to the backflow device(s), which are located inside near the water meter.
- Please make sure there is a clear path to the device(s), as well as approximately 3 feet of clearance.
- There may be a brief interruption of water service (depending on the type of device being tested and/or bypass options available for the device).
- For locations with fire sprinkler systems: We recommend you notify your fire alarm company of the appointment. They may be able to put the system in “test mode” and prevent the alarm from activating unnecessarily.
